India offers wide-range talks to PakistanISLAMABAD (February 08, 2010): Apart from foreign secretary-level dialogues, India has proposed additional dialogues to Pakistan for the solution of regional issues, claims India media. According to private TV channel, the additional talks will mainly focus terrorism and regional security while the measures for confidence building and strengthening of bilateral trade will also be discussed.

Pak-India talks seen good for Afghan effortsISLAMABAD (February 08, 2010): An easing of tension between India and Pakistan should help US-led efforts to stabilise Afghanistan though no one is expecting any quick breakthrough between the nuclear-armed rivals. Curfew continues in occupied SrinagarISLAMABAD (February 08, 2010): Many areas of occupied Srinagar, including Maisuma, Rainawari, Nowhatta, Safa Kadal, Maharaj Ganj, Amira Kadal remained under curfew on Sunday to stop anti-India demonstrations. Minister sees blasphemy law revision this yearWASHINGTON (February 08, 2010): Pakistan plans within this year to revise its laws against blasphemy, which have long been criticised as a way to abuse minorities, a government minister said. Minister for Minority Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti said religious reconciliation was a little-noticed priority for President Asif Ali Zardari's civilian government in Pakistan, which lies on the frontline of the US-led war against extremism.
