LAHORE (February 05, 2010): The revenues of the NetSol Technologies Ltd increased by 105 percent during the 2nd quarter of the financial year 2009-10 as compared with the corresponding period. According to a press statement issued by the NetSol Technologies on the financial results for 2nd quarter of 2009-10, the gross profit of the company has been increased by 67 percent to Rs 280.97 million as compared to 36 percent increase to Rs 73.17 million during the corresponding period of the last year.

LAHORE (January 30, 2010): A strategic partnership agreement was signed between the Punjab government and a leading computer software company Microsoft here on Friday, under which Microsoft would extend all-out co-operation for the development of local IT industry. The company will also set up an innovation centre at Software Technology Park, disclosed an official. Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Aslam and the head of Microsoft Company in Pakistan Kamal Ahmad signed the document.

KARACHI (January 22, 2010): Intel Pakistan Corporation Thursday introduced its all-new 2010 Intel(r) CoreTM family processors, in Pakistan. This was announced by Country Manager Intel Pakistan Corporation Ashar H. Zaidi at a press conference, held at a local hotel here. The new 2010 Intel Core processors are manufactured on the company's 32nm process, which includes Intel's second-generation high-k metal gate transistors.

KARACHI (January 22, 2010): Oracle Financial Services Software has announced a new release of Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking. This brings together the Oracle, supporting banks in more than 125 countries including Pakistan, with a combined asset base in excess of 30 trillion dollars.

ISLAMABAD (January 21, 2010): Pakistan Computer Association (PCA) and Microsoft have reaffirmed the resolve to make joint efforts to promote Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in the industry to ensure healthy and steady growth in the IT sector. According to a press release of the PCA issued here on Wednesday, the efforts would focus on consumer awareness regarding the IPRs and facilitation of the industry to provide affordable software to the end-users in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD (January 21, 2010): President Asif Ali Zardari launched a project to provide broadband internet in Southern Punjab funded by Universal Service Fund (USF) worth Rs 1.95 billion, said a press release issued here on Wednesday. A plaque unveiling ceremony of the project was held at the Governor House, Lahore.
