ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has purchased 75000 MT of wheat from Pakistan Agriculture Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO) in order to reduce the ongoing wheat flour shortage and keep its prices in control.
"We had signed a contract with PASCO under which 75000 MT of wheat have been acquired and sent to different flour mills", a senior official of the Corporation told APP here on Monday.
He said currently wheat flour is available in abundant and there is no shortage of wheat flour in all USC outlets across the country.
To a question he said the USC has raised only the price of utility cooking oil by Rs 9 and the price of Utility ghee has not been increased.
