Google spices up Maps by replacing classic navigator arrow
Google has decided to make Maps more interactive by introducing 3D car icons to replace the classic blue navigation arrow.
To make things more interesting, Google decided to change the navigation arrow found in Maps by introducing something more fun, 3D car icons. Unfortunately, the feature is only available in iOS for now.
This replacement of the navigation arrow has previously been seen on special occasions including Mario Day when the arrow changed to Mario in his red kart. This time, Google decided to customize it forever by giving an option to choose from three 3D car icons, ‘a stylish sedan, a timeless pickup truck, or a speedy SUV’, depending on user’s mood.

To replace the icon, user can just tap the arrow while in driving navigation and select the vehicle. Available for only iOS, the tech giant didn’t mention when the Android update would come in.
Google revealed about the new update it a blog post. The post read, “There’s now a new way to customize your drive on Google Maps for iOS. Depending on your mood, you can swap out the classic blue navigation arrow for a new icon—a stylish sedan, a timeless pickup truck, or a speedy SUV. Get started by tapping on the arrow while in driving navigation mode to select your vehicle of choice, and hit the road with a brand new car, so you can have that new car feeling without the down payment”.
