KARACHI: At least 12 people including two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel have been killed and more than 50 injured in a blast on Bacha Khan Chowk in Quetta, the media reported on Thursday.
According to reports, the blast occured in an FC vehicle, which damaged more than 15 others while damaging surrounding buildings.
A 10kg explosive material was used and the FC vehicles were the target, it was further reported.
The area is densely populated and is a busy commercial junction.
The injured have been shifted to the nearby Civil Hospital and the FC have cordonned off the area and are letting nobody enter the parameters. Around 7 FC personnel are among the injured
It may be mentioned that it was previously called Meezan Chowk, which was changed to Bacha Khan Chowk later.
