The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has directed all Regional Commissioners of Income Tax (RCITs) to take appropriate steps for achieving the budgetary targets in the remaining three months of the current financial year.
The CBR has started regular meetings with the commissioners of income tax to individually discuss with them the ongoing pace of revenue collection, status of audit of cases selected under Universal Self Assessment Scheme and position of refund.
