Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, president, India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has congratulated Sonia Gandhi for winning a thumping majority in the recent Indian elections.
He termed the electoral victory of Congress (I) a good omen for the peace and tranquillity in the sub-continent. In a press release issued here on Saturday, he welcomed the statement of Sonia Gandhi in which she assured the continuation of dialogue process between Pakistan and India, saying there must be an end to the 56 years of animosity so that both neighbouring countries could live in peace and harmony.
