Collector Customs Mohammad Raza Baqir has confirmed the provisional reinstatement of Deputy Superintendent Mahmood Khan Khattak in light of the report of inquiry officer in which the charges levelled against him have not been established.
According to a notification issued by the Collector of Customs, the provisional reinstatement of Mahmood Khan Khattak is confirmed and period of his suspension shall be treated as on duty.
He was among those 22 officials of the Customs Department who were suspended by the collector last year on charges of negligence and inefficiency. However, later all the officials were provisionally reinstated. But except Mahmood Khan Khattak, the remaining 21 officials are still facing the inquiry.
