The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) has sent relief goods worth Rs 0.5 million to the victims of recent rains in Haripuir-Hazara. Managing Director LSE Hamid M. Imtiazi handed over the goods to Tehsil Nazim Harripur-Hazara Iftikhar Khan on Thursday. According to LSE officials, the exchange has extended this emergency relief package to the affected people of Hazara who have experienced devastating rains, followed by floods, causing a huge loss of life, property, cattle and standing crops.
A relief fund in this regard was established and the LSE members generously contributed to the fund, they added.
LSE MD Hamid M. Imtiazi said that the relief goods included tents, blankets, flour, ghee, sugar, rice etc. Tehsil Nazim Haripur Iftikhar Khan said that he would make sure that these goods reach the deserving victims of the district. He also thanked the LSE for their kind gesture in this hour of trial for the people of Haripur District.
