CBR celebrates 80th anniversary

The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) on Friday celebrated its 80th anniversary with the commitment to change for competing in the global competition of investment, automation and free trade regime through ongoing reform process. CBR Chairman Abdullah Yousuf and Member Tax Policy and Reforms M S Lal elaborated the history of CBR and future reforms strategy for achieving high growth rates and facilitating both the local and foreign investors.
On the occasion, 74 employees of Grades 1 to 15 were awarded certificates of performance, and the chairman also announced Rs 5,000 per employee as special efficiency award. The chairman awarded the certificates among the employees.
The Chairman also announced that double pay package would be given to all those employees who would be working in reformed units of CBR across the country. He said that the CBR is preparing a welfare package for employees.
