It is indeed a matter of great honour and pride for me and the entire nation to felicitate Bolan Joint Venture companies on the inauguration of the development work at Zarghun Gas Field. This is indeed a highly significant event, which will pave the way to fulfil the domestic energy needs of the people of Pakistan.
My special thanks to the Bolan Joint Venture partners: PKP, Spud Energy, Government Holdings and Mari Gas for bringing their investment and expertise to the region of Balochistan.
The present government has embarked upon a comprehensive program to expand our energy resources. Besides saving valuable foreign exchange and achieving self-reliance, this expansion will create jobs and serve our industry. Zarghun Gas Field will bring much needed infrastructural development to the province of Balochistan. It is also my desire that other ventures are able to emulate their success in this province.
The province of Balochistan has been bestowed with the gifts of rich natural resources and an exceptional and admirable people. Natural resources of Balochistan have always been contributing towards the growth of our national economy, fuelling our homes and our industry. It is now the need of the hour to maintain the impetus to expand this growth to secure a bright future for Pakistan.
As a developing nation we have to keep pace with the rapid changes in the demand of our energy needs. Zarghun is an integral part of our efforts to meet these ever-increasing demands. I wish every member of the Bolan Joint Venture success in all their ventures.
