DDC approves 12 schemes costing Rs 19.7 million

District Development Committee (DDC) has approved 12 schemes estimated to cost Rs 19.7 million, said District Coordination Officer (DCO), Hameedullah Khan, on Thursday. He said Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been striving sincerely to provide basic life amenities to the people and improve their living standard.
Hameedullah Khan directed officials of the local government department to ensure quality of work. He warned that use of substandard material would not be tolerated at all. The projects include soling of streets, laying of sewers, new roads etc.
