Both China's vehicle output and sales are expected to exceed nine million units in 2007, rising a quarter from 7.2 million in 2006, the Shanghai Securities News said on Saturday, quoting an industry official.
The increase will allow China, the world's second largest vehicle market, to reach an auto industry goal originally set for 2010 this year, Chairman of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, Zhang Xiaoyu, was quoted by the newspaper as saying.
