Muhammad Shoaib, CEO, First Habib Modaraba, has been elected as Chairman, and Murtaza Ahmed Ali, CEO, Allied Rental Modaraba, as Vice Chairman of Modaraba Association of Pakistan for the year 2008-09. The elections results were announced at the 15th annual general meeting of Modaraba Association of Pakistan here on Monday.
The following were elected as members of the executive committee: Khawaja Fawzi, CEO, First Punjab Modaraba, Wasimul Haq Osmani CEO, First Fidelity Leasing Modaraba, Zulfiqar Ali, CEO, Modaraba Al-Mali, Syed M. Hussaini, CEO, KASB Modaraba, Jalaluddin Ahmed, CEO, First Al-Noor Modaraba, S. Zaheer Mehdi, CEO, Standard Chartered Modaraba, S. Anvaar Rasool, CEO First Habib Bank Modaraba, Colonel Abdul Rauf Sandhu (Retd.), CEO, First Prudential Modaraba.
LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: This year, the Executive Committee has considered a special award which would be called "The Life Achievement Award". Those members of the sector who have contributed continuously and consistently for the growth and success of the Modaraba Sector would be considered for the award. The Committee unanimously decided that the Award should go to Basheer Ahmed Chowdry, Chief Executive, Al-Zamin Leasing Modaraba and twice Chairman of the Association.-PR
