"Nawaz Sharif is naïve, or so we were told."
"Who said that?"
"President Zardari."
"He didn't say Nawaz Sharif was naive, he said there were people who were trying to mislead Nawaz Sharif but that he had called him and Mian Sahib was with him."
"But that implies naivety, doesn't it?"
"I guess but you must remember the history of the two men...Nawaz Sharif was at one time trying to get to Benazir through Zardari, of course those days are long gone and..."
"They are not that long gone...they only went a year ago when Benazir was assassinated."
"True but anyway I would agree with Zardari."
"That Nawaz Sharif is naive?"
"No, that there is a need for the two major parties to work together."
"PML (N) is merely a provincial party."
"Then how do you explain Mian Sahib's heavy mandak during his last stint in power?"
"That was a fluke."
"I don't think so, at that time he actually had candidates stand for elections from other provinces."
"That's right but don't forget after the brutal assassination of Benazir Bhutto there was a sympathy vote and..."
"Again I disagree - the seats won by the PPP were no more than what Benazir won back when she was in power last."
"I see."
"Anyway President Zardari and Mian Sahib have one thing in common?"
"I hear Zardari likes Bhindi and since Mian Sahib has found that out his cook is no longer allowed to cook Bhindi, upon pain of eviction from the PML (N)."
"Don't be facetious."
"If he cooks Bhindi he will be forced to join either the Qatil League or perhaps the MQM."
"Why not the PPP?"
"President Zardari is quite satisfied with his own cook."
"Ah yes, but the thing in common they have?"
"They are not good public speakers."
"No, they have dictatorship within their party ranks."
"Ah yes."
