The Project Director, Mohan-Jo-Daro, Abdul Haq Bhambhro has said that present government is taking keen interest to protect and preserve the archaeological sites and informed that a scheme for preservation and protection of Mohan-Jo-Daro has been approved at its estimated cost of Rs 18 million.
He said that keeping in view the coming monsoon season, management has started the precautionary protection work for world ancient assets of Mohan-Jo-Daro since last week. Condemning the report in a paper about fall of a portion of protected wall of Mohan-Jo-Daro, Bhanbhro said that he checked all the protected areas of Mohan-Jo-Daro and found no any such incident at site.
