Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has called for enhancing the regional trade. He was talking to a delegation from the Ukraine at the Governor House here on Tuesday. The Governor was of the view that Pakistan is focusing on the regional trade. He further pointed out that the volume of regional trade around the globe was more than that of the international trade.
He said it is expected that after initiation of trade the businessmen and traders from Pakistan and Ukraine would get better opportunities for selling their products in each others' countries. The Governor said that it augurs well that a big trade delegation from Ukraine was visiting Pakistan for the first time and that Pakistan-Ukraine Business Council has been created.
He stated that Pakistan is best suited for trade and commerce and that it has immense potential and opportunities. Dr Ishrat was of the view that there were many products manufactured in Pakistan that have not been properly marketed in the international market.
He said that with trade agreement with Ukraine, such non-traditional items could be introduced in Ukraine and other countries. The members of the Ukraine delegation thanked Governor Sindh for the warm welcome. They opined that the visit would help contribute towards bring both the countries closer.
