Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that upcoming provincial Annual Developmental Programme (ADP) for the year 2012-13 will be compatible to the needs of the people and will reflect stability of economy of the province. He said that investment in production sectors and completion of ongoing and near-to-completion schemes is our topmost priority. He was chairing consultative meeting in connection with drafting of proposed provincial annual budget for financial year 2012-13.
Senior Provincial Minister, Rahim Dad Khan, Provincial Finance Minister, Muhammad Hamayun Khan, Chief Secretary, Ghulam Datager, ACS Atta Ullah Khan, Secretary Finance, Sahibzada Saeed, Secretary Planning & Development, Saleem Khan, Secretary Works & Services, Zahid Arif, Special Secretary to CM, Waqar-ul-Hassan, Chief Economist and officers of P&D and Finance Departments attended the meeting.
Matters pertaining to entire departments, allocation of fund and time frame were reviewed in detail during the meeting while funds allocation for ongoing and near-to-completion schemes was also discussed. He said that the present government prefers collective interests of people and the province, adding, concentration on ongoing and near-to-completion schemes is in best interests of the people. The CM said that more and more investment in hydel power, minerals, and tourism and production sector is demand of the time which will help bringing pleasant change in lives of the people and revenue of province will increase in shape of royalty and will assist economy of the province to stand on strong footing. He mentioned provincial Hydel Power Generation Action Plan. He said that the Action Plan will play pivotal role in lessening energy crisis and will increase revenue base of the province along with pleasant change in social and financial status of production areas.
