Islamabad administration seals five more neighborhoods

Islamabad administration has decided to seal five more neighborhoods from Monday after they emerged as COVID-19 hotspots.
These sectors are I-8/3, I-8/4, G-9/1, G-10/4 and G-6/2, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat announced. In a tweet, he said the lockdown in these areas will be imposed for 10 to 12 days.
During these days, schools, shopping centres, mosques and parks in the areas will be shut down, he further added. He urged citizens to adhere to the coronavirus guidelines.
“The citizens are requested to make prior arrangements for their convenience including ration, medicines and reschedule their engagements/work before the onset of lockdown/sealing date and time,” the notification by the administration said.
On Saturday, several departments of universities in the federal capital were sealed after cases were reported. Department of MS Agriculture, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Department of Civil Engineering were sealed at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), while at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Department of Management Sciences, Department of Computer Sciences, BS International Relations, BS English, and BBA were sealed.
Department of MS Data Sciences at FAST University was also sealed among other universities.
