National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tuesday arrested Abdul Sattar Khan, ex-Post Master, Sardheri Bazar Post Office Charsadda for alleged embezzlement of government funds and caused millions of rupees loss to public exchequer. Further investigations from the accused person may unearth more embezzlement. The accused Abdul Sattar Khan, ex-Post Master by misusing his authority has embezzled government money amounting to millions of rupees.
An amount of approximately Rs 2 million was recovered by the Postal Department. However, the accused failed to deposit the remaining amount. Accordingly the case was referred to NAB (KP) Peshawar for further inquiry and recovery. Taking cognisance of the case NAB (KP) started inquiry and established that millions of rupees in public funds were misappropriated by the accused. The accused will be produced before the accountability court for obtaining his physical remand into NAB (KP) custody.
