On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,839. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.010 billion and the number of lots traded was 21,284.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.561 billion, followed by currencies through COTS(PKR 1.029 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 954.537 million ,silver PKR 213.174 million, platinum PKR 121.337 million, copper PKR 110.710 million, natural gas PKR 14.833 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.456 million.
