India versus Pakistan ‘just another game’, says Kohli

Pakistan versus India encounter is always the talking point in any cricketing tournament and when the tournament is the World Cup, the stakes get much higher.

However, for the Indian captain Virat Kohli, the much anticipated match in soon-to-begin World Cup is ‘just another game’, in which the side needs to win to advance into the tournament.

"Look, India Pakistan is always a much anticipated match but we keep saying again and again [that] if you ask the players, it is very different from how the fans look at the game. Yes you feel the anticipation and excitement of the fans when you enter the stadium but as soon as you step on the field, it is very professional,” said the Indian skipper, at the Captains presser.

"For us it is just another game you need to win as a team. Yes it brings pressure because the atmosphere in the stadium is very different and as I said you only experience that till the time you start competing in the game. As soon as you get into it, it is a game of cricket for all of us," Kohli added.

The much anticipated Pakistan versus India match is scheduled to be held on June 16 at Old Trafford.
