PRAGUE: The Czech central bank should refrain from further interest rate increases for now, board member Ales Michl was quoted as saying in an interview on Wednesday.
"I think the economy now needs to be left alone, with no activist policy," Michl said in an interview with news agency Bloomberg.
The bank kept its base rate unchanged at its last policy meeting in June and said there might be a lengthy pause before the next policy move. It last hiked rates in May, the eighth move in a tightening cycle going back to 2017.
