Ramiz Raja wants no second chances for Sharjeel Khan
With reports of opening batsman Sharjeel Khan approaching the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a cricketing comeback making rounds, former captain turned cricket commentator Ramiz Raja has voiced his disapproval saying that the tainted cricketer should not be given another chance.
“I am really disappointed because have we not found any batsman in the past two, three years, that we are bound to approach such characters [Sharjeel Khan] that tainted the Pakistan cricket,” said Raja.
“How can the society tolerate such a debate? These men don’t even learn from their mistakes and there is a trail of such absurdities giving a bad name to Pakistan. We should have zero tolerance on these things, as we would get the talent and in a year or so our opening that is already doing well would get better.”
Just days ago it was reported that Sharjeel Khan has approached the Pakistan Cricket Board to allow him to resume cricket after his ban ends on August 10..
Back in 2017, Sharjeel was banned for two and a half years after he was found involved in spot-fixing during the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
