Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women Wing Provincial Information Secretary Mehr Sultana has criticized the government over its decision to increase electricity tariff.

In a press statement issued here on Friday, PPP leader said the ‘selectedâ€(tm) government is deviating from its pre-election commitments. She added the incumbent rulers had made promises before the election that if they will get chance to form the government then they will construct new dams to available electricity to masses on cheap prices.

But, she said since the incumbent PTI government had come into power, made increases twice prices of electricity, petroleum commodities rates and imposed new taxes, which are directly affected the poverty-hit masses and opened floodgate of inflation and cause unemployment in the country, pushing the masse into more trouble.

PPP leader said the PTI government is least bothered to resolve the masses issues on priority basis and to relief them.

Mehr Sultana while commenting of the partyâ€(tm)s co-chairman detention said that PPP leadership cannot be freighted by such weak tactics. She said the government is offering deal but PPP will not bow before the government because the party always came into power with power masses votes and high mandate.

PPP woman leader called the PTI government as ‘selected-governmentâ€(tm), which is running by other directions and lacking capability to pull the country from the prevailing crisis situation. She said the PTI leaders are trying to safe their skin by sending political rivals behind the bars.

She said that PPP will not afraid from PTI despite its government as masses are fully known about the pressures tactics. She expressed the hope that the PPP will again form its government with power of masses votes as people are well-known that the incumbent rulers had raised hollow slogans and failed to deliver them at all fronts. She said PPP had always taken practical steps to mitigate the sufferings of poor masses in the country.
