KARACHI: Style maven Rihanna will soon take her talents to reality TV. The singer will appear on UK’s new runway-esque fashion competition, “Styled to Rock.” She is also the executive producer of the show.
The programme, which will air on Sky Living from August, will pit a clutch of budding fashion designers against one another to find the next British star.
The series will follow each designer as they create clothes for some of the world's biggest superstars, including Rihanna herself.
Rihanna will make her small-screen debut and join her stylist Lysa Cooper, House of Holland designer Henry Holland, and Girls Aloud singer and fashion show regular Nicola Roberts as mentors to the competing contestants in the ten-week competition.
“I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show,” Rihanna said in a press release.
In the teaser of the show, the singer can be seen encouraging the contestants in a design studio and talking about her passion for fashion. She says: “I've always loved fashion. Fashion has helped shape me into the artist that I am today.”
