ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan Friday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to seize all the record relating to the issuance of licences to the CNG stations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority(OGRA).
The directions were issued by a three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed during the hearing of a suo moto notice pertaining to the illegal issuance of licences to CNG stations.
During the course of proceeding, Chief Justice remarked that the Director General OGRA was deliberately avoiding the facts and did not reveal them before the court.
The court directed the FIA to gather the record of all the issued licenses to the CNG stations during the last five years and adjourned further hearing till April 15.
