MADRID: The Spanish economy grew 0.7 percent in the October-December period on a quarterly basis, as forecast in a flash estimate and after growing by 0.5 percent in the third quarter, final official data showed on Thursday.
The rise in output marked the biggest quarterly gross domestic product (GDP) jump in seven years.
On an annual basis, the economy grew by 2.0 percent in the fourth quarter, Spain's National Statistics Institute INE said. For 2014 as a whole, output rose 1.4 percent from 2013.
