BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's 2014/15 soy crop was estimated by the government on Thursday at a record 58.0 million tonnes, up from 53.4 million in the previous season.
The Agriculture Ministry gave the forecast in a statement that also said 2014/15 corn was expected at 30.0 million tonnes, down from 33.0 million in the 2013/14 crop year.
Harvesting of 2014/15 soy and corn is well advanced throughout the Pampas grains belt.
