SEOUL: The South Korean won fell for a fourth consecutive week against the dollar, its longest losing streak in 14 months, on spreading fears about a possible US recession and financial troubles at European banks.
The won ended Friday's local trade down 1.23 percent at 1,087.4 per dollar. It fell 0.82 percent on the week, extending its losing streak to a fourth week, the longest such spell since mid-June 2010.
