HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares rose 0.25 percent on Thursday, a fourth straight gain, following a rally on Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 50.48 points to 20,585.33 on turnover of HK$87.06 billion ($11.18 billion).
Shanghai closed down 0.44 percent. The composite index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 11.30 points to 2,556.04 on turnover of 59.9 billion yuan ($9.4 billion).
