Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday urged the Ulema and Mushaikh to come forward and play their role in enhancing national unity and cohesion.
Addressing the national convention of Ulema and Mushaikh held at a local hotel, Rashid said that they represent the silent majority and it was need of the hour that they come forward and render their services in achieving prosperity and solidarity for the country.
Earlier, the conference unanimously adopted a resolution, condemning the suicidal attacks on President General Pervez Musharraf, besides pledging to carry forward their responsibilities according to the need of the hour.
