Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), will be celebrated with traditional zeal throughout the country on Monday.
Special processions will be taken out and Mehfil-e-Naat and Quran Khawani will be organised across the country to mark this auspicious day.
Houses and mosques will be illuminated with colourful lights to celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The main feature of the day will be the one-day national Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr.
Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali will inaugurate the morning session of the conference.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr, Muhammad Ejazul Haq will preside over the second session of the conference.
The theme of the conference will be "Present trend of religious extremism and its elimination under the light of teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)".
The exhibition of books on Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and Naat will also be arranged on the occasion.
Ulema and religious scholars representing various schools of thought and a large number of people will participate in the conference.
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been completed to celebrate Jashan-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) in a benefiting manner in the federal capital.
Deputy Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Pirzada appealed to the Ulema and Mashaikh to forge unity among their ranks and preach tolerance, peace and harmony in their sermons.
Security has been stepped up in the capital for Eid Milad-un-Nabi and police commandos and security personnel would be deployed along the procession routes.
DSPs and SHOs of all police stations have been instructed to patrol in their respective jurisdictions along the procession routes.
On this auspicious occasion, special programmes have been chalked out in other areas of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan Faisalabad, Hyderabad and other big and small cities.
