Citizens urged to shun sectarian, ethnic differences: Sindh governor and chief minister messages

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is the most auspicious day in the Muslim calendar. On this day we honour and revere our beloved Holy Prophet (PBUH) as He was born this day to spread the message of peace, love, brotherhood and unity.
Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad in his message on this auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi said that the message of Islam has spread far and wide from the shores of Atlantic to the far South Pacific.
"It is an occasion for us to ponder and to accept that our identity is as a Muslim and as a Pakistani and that we should shun all sectarian, ethnic and other differences and unite under the banner of the Holy Prophet to live in peace and harmony. During the past years we have paid a heavy price by deviating from the principle of unity in the Muslim Ummah. Both within the country and abroad; we saw conflicts between Muslims and Muslims."
Ibad added "Let us pledge to bury the past and to treat each other as equals and as brethren and to carry along the banner of Islam in keeping with the teaching of Holy Quran and the Sunnah."
"May Allah give us the wisdom to follow the path of righteous, peace and harmony as the true servants of Islam", Ibad concluded.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar has stressed the masses to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to gain success in both worldly life and eternal life.
In his message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) (12th Rabiul Awal), he said that today world was surrounded with numerous problems adding that solution to all the problems lied in the teachings of Islam and Holy Prophet.
He said that the Prophet led an exemplary life that every Muslim should follow by heart.
