International Seerat Centre would be established in the provincial metropolis for the benefit of Islamic scholars of the world. It would be completed in one year.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi disclosed this while addressing the Seerat Conference on 'Concept of tolerance in Islam' held here on Wednesday.
In order to promote the message of Seerat, the government has also evolved a programme of publishing books written on this topic, which would be available to the common man.
The government would also make arrangements for launching MA classes in Seerat discipline first time in the history of the country, under which the students would be able to conduct research on different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUP), he added.
He urged the ulema to play their due role in achieving the goal of Ittehad Bain-ul-Muslimeem.
He acknowledged that it was due to their efforts that no incident of sectarian violence occurred in the province for the past couple of years.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the steps taken for the education of special children.
He announced that the government would also give Rs 200 monthly stipend to every special child.
