The former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sultan Mahmud, said the masses in Indian occupied Kashmir by boycotting the so-called elections in occupied valley have proved they are not equivalent to plebiscite.
Talking to media persons at his residence, Sultan said it is high time to unveil the real face of India at the international forum as well as at the diplomatic level.
In this regard, he said responsibility lies on Kashmiris globally to work collectively for solving the Kashmir issue according to the wishes of Kashmiri people and increase international pressure on India to solve the dispute.
The former AJK premier said by boycotting the third phase of elections has exposed India for betraying the world by not fulfilling its promise to conduct plebiscite.
He said India is prolonging its illegal occupation in Kashmir by holding the election drama, adding negative policies of India are becoming a source of danger for peace in the South Asian region.
Replying to a query, Sultan said India is following a dual policy. On one side, it is talking of dialogue and on the other, it is violating human rights at large scale whereas the state-terrorism has reached its limits, he added.
He said India is not fair in solving the dispute of Kashmir, and is conducting dialogue with Pakistan only to hoodwink the international community.
Sultan said Kashmiris would continue their struggle at the diplomatic level, and hoped that Kashmir issue will be solved soon.
He also said Kashmiri masses are sacrificing their lives to get freedom, and will continue their struggle till they get rid of Indian domination.
