The management of the Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank (PPCB) Attock has extended the credit facility to the growers for purchase of fertiliser and seeds for cultivation of their forthcoming Kharif corp.
This was stated by the District Manager PPCB Attock Azher Mehmood, while talking to APP on Wednesday.
He said that a target loan amount of Rs 14 million has been allocated to distribute among the low-paid farmers of Tehsil Attock, Pindighaib, Fatehjang, Jand and Hassan Abdal during the current financial year.
The landowners of more than 12 acres would be released the loan at the rate of Rs 1,000 per acre in barren while Rs 2,000 per acre in fertile areas as well as canal irrigated lands.
The district manager advised the farmers to contact through their bank society for release of their loan.
He further said that the bank also extends credit facility for the purchase of animals, tractor and other agricultural machinery. Government officials could also avail this facility for the procurement of computers.
