'Red alert at airports not linked with Shahbaz's return'

Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said that red alert at airports is not linked with the return of PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to Voice of America (VOA), the minister said, "it is not linked with return of Shahbaz Sharif. It is not an important event and media is trying to make it important."
The minister said: "The alert on airports is a routine matter and in given scenario, it can happen."
He said, due to situation within the country and the neighbouring countries, the government has to take precautionary measures according to requirements.
"We often receive reports from security agencies and we change our position after verifying these reports and send these reports to different departments so that they remain alert," he added.
