Commission for Peace and Human Development (CPHD) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 15 worshippers and injury to over a 100 others in the bomb blast at Haidery mosque, Karachi during Friday prayers.
Expressing anguish over the brutal killings in the mosque in the premises of Sindh Madrastul-Islam, Karachi on Friday, Waseem Anthony, executive director CPHD said that only a strong movement from within the civil society could put an end to such heinous crimes.
Hatred and intolerance which are root causes of terrorism should be addressed and eliminated from our social fabric, he said.
The CPHD chief called for decisive action against those fanning religiously intolerance in the country, and for more effective measures to protect innocent lives.
