Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi on Saturday performed the ground-breaking of the construction of a block for the offices of Advocate General (AG) here at 15-Fane Road.
The block will be completed at a cost of Rs 56 million.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister said that the provincial government is providing special grants to the district, tehsil and High Court Bar Associations.
The residential colonies are also being constructed, while the employees of AG office would also be provided residential facilities, he added.
Punjab Minister for Law, Basharat Raja; Secretary Law Sheikh Farooq Ahmad and AG Punjab Syed Shabbar Raza Rizvi were also present at the occasion.
The Chief Minister was briefed that new building would house a library, 40 offices for law officers and sitting space for the visitors.
