ANF seizes 11 kg opium: one held

ANF officials on a tip-off seized huge quantity of opium from a poacher the other day, ANF sources said on Sunday.
One Gulbar Khan resident of Tangir Valley, District Diamer, was carrying 11 kg of high quality opium to Ghizer district when he was held by ANF special team on directives of Assistant Director, ANF, Northern Areas Hajat Mir, ANF officials told APP.
Sources added that after recovering such a huge quantity of opium from his possession the ANF officials arrested him and a case has been registered against him in ANF police station, Gilgit.
Further investigations are under way.
