The Karachi Port handled 73,518 tonnes of cargo including 54,220 tonnes import and 19,298 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 34,157 tonnes dry and 39,361 tonnes liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Gulf Fortune, Hyundai Sprinter, MT Swat, Eax Sanctity, Taiyoh-II and Multan sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz Global Progress, Deseri Sky and Gulf Fortune are currently at the berths.
MV Pindos expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Global Progress and Pacific Express are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three ships namely Pacific Express, Nur Yan Bu and Corinthaikos due to arrive on Saturday, while four vessels viz Med Keelung, BBC Norway, Diamond Park and MT Shalamar are due to arrive on Sunday.
A total cargo volume of 45,777 tonnes including 21,331 tonnes import and 24,446 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 3,057 tonnes chemicals; 6,425 tonnes edible oil and 36,295 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Atlantida, Bum Mi, Safmarine Pakistan and Belsize Park sailed out to sea during the report period.
