The Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri has expressed the hope that relations between Pakistan and India will further be improved as people of both the countries want peace in the region.
In an interview with BBC Radio, the minister said "We expect and guess the relations will further be improved as the people of both the countries want peace."
He said, "We expect peace process initiated by Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be continued by Congress government with more vigor."
Replying to a question, he said the statement given by Sonia Gandhi is a positive development in which she said that "not only peace process will be continued, but will further be strengthened and accelerates as well."
He recalled that three months ago a delegation of the political leader visited Pakistan comprised leaders of all the larger political parties of India like Congress and BJP.
