Education department urged to announce summer vacations

After having experienced the hottest May with the mercury touching 45 degree celsius in Lahore, the parents of school going children have urged the Education Department to announce summer vacations and close down the educational institutions.
"As the school going children have been facing lot of problems due to scorching heat and are vulnerable to various diseases like sunstroke, therefore, the Education Department should announce early summer vacations instead of waiting for June."
Various non-governmental organisations, parents and civil society members have urged the government to take prompt decision in this regard and save the children/students from suffering of bad effects of sweltering weather.
