The Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet will take decision on tariff rationalisation of polyester filament yarn sector and setting up of 'Export Terminals' at Sargodha and Muzaffargarh in its meeting on May 20.
Sources told Business Recorder here on Monday that the ECC would review rate of custom duty on import of polyester filament yarn taking into account the viewpoint of concerned ministries, CBR and private sector.
The establishment of export terminals at various stations would help in smooth clearance of export consignments by providing facilities to exporters under one roof.
The ECC will also discuss cases of textile spinning mills pending for categorisation as value-added industry and exemption of duties and taxes on imported machinery and goods during mineral exploration, mine construction and commercial production phases.
ECC will also take up the matter pertaining to the aviation policy and dispute between Civil Aviation Authority (CCA) and national flag carrier.
Data on economic indicators and sensitive price indicator (SPI) would also be reviewed in the ECC meeting.
Sources said that commercialisation/revamping of aerial wing of the department of Plant Protection and attached department of Minfal would also be discussed.
