Illegal pesticide company raided

A team headed by District Officer Agriculture Extension, Riaz Ahmed Dayo raided an illegal pesticide company engaged in manufacturing spurious pesticides and marketing it throughout the province. The party seized 259 bags of spurious sulphate potash being packed in bags under the label of FFC along with other equipment. The owners of the factory made his escape goods leaving behind his mobile phone, which helped, identified the swindler as Manooz Kumar who was engaged in manufacturing and marketing spurious pesticides.
When contacted the officials of directorate plant protection department responsible for laboratory analyses of the pesticides shifted blame to district officials now working under district government for not taking strict measures against marketing of spurious pesticides while the district officials held extension responsible for compromising their efforts. A complaint has been lodge with local police but so far no arrest has been made.
