Iranian Oil Minister, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, is to pay a visit to Islamabad on Monday at the invitation of Pakistani officials to continue talks on Iran's gas pipeline to India. The Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Sunday that Zanganeh has termed talks with Indian and Pakistani officials on the project as positive, saying political issues should be removed as the first step and technical, commercial, and legal procedures are the second-stage measures.
He expressed the hope that legal, financial, and political issues would be discussed concurrently, helping to save time.
Zanganeh said the recent visit by Indian oil minister to Pakistan was a positive move, adding it is early to finalise the agreement with the delegating sides.
The three countries have their own policies, which would take time, said the oil minister adding negotiations deem necessary.
