Sir Syed University enhances scholarship funds

The Board of Governors, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi approved the budget of the university for the year 2005-06 in a meeting held on Saturday. The total budget is of Rs 338.895 million with expenditure of Rs 326.792 million showing surplus of Rs 12.103 million.
According to new budget proposals of the university, the funds for scholarships have been increased from Rs 13 million to Rs 20 million.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmed presided over the meeting. Lieutenant General Moinuddin Haider (retd), Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmani, Justice Fazle Ghani Khan (retd), Dr N. A. Baloch, Professor Dr M. D. Shami, Eng. Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan, Muhammad Afzal Munif and Brig. Qamar-us-salam Khan (retd)attended the meeting.
