The candidate of ruling Pakistan Muslim League for District Nazim Rawalpindi Raja Javed Ikhlas has said that he will serve the people of the district without any discrimination and use all his efforts for the continuation of the development process.
"We will give Rawalpindi a new look and our tenure will be totally different from the past," he said while talking to reporters here on Saturday.
He said that in the past the former district Nazim remained unsuccessful to keep contact with the masses as well as provincial and federal governments and as a result he got failed to solve the problems of the people. "I am an old political worker and have been in politics for 27 years. Since 1979 I contested all the elections and remained MPA five times, my political experience taught me to serve the people in real sense" he added.
Ikhlas said that they would make Rawalpindi a stronghold of Pakistan Muslim League before 2007 general elections by serving the people in every corner of the district.
He said that he and his team would make utmost efforts to come up the expectations of the people and confidence shown in him by the leadership of PML.
