Information minister Sheikh Rashid has said present assemblies could elect President General Musharraf for another term. "It is up to the President to choose present or the future parliament for his election for another term," the minister said while talking to reporters during his visit to review rehabilitation and renovation work at Liaquat Bagh.
He was of the view the uniform of President Musharraf had played a major role in socio-economic development and stability in the country.
"The President would himself decide the matter of his uniform," he said in response to a question.
Rashid said the government will hold elections in 2007. "People, who are creating fuss in the country regarding elections must know elections will be held in November 2007 and not before," the minister said.
He said politicians need time to prepare for elections and added Muslim League would emerge victorious in the next general elections.
